Sophisticated renovation in Campo de Ourique

Total renovation and interior decoration of a magnificent apartment in Campo Ourique. 130m2, 3 bedrooms, living room and dining room

Expansion of useful space, improvement of functionalities, structural renovation of the kitchen. Creation of a modern, pleasant and comfortable environment.

To optimize the space, it was necessary to reconfigure the apartment, so we chose to demolish the middle wall between the dining room and the living room, creating a single, wider room, whilst maintaining the demarcation of uses.

The kitchen underwent a major renovation. The original version with several nooks, blind spots and an entrance in the middle of a wall had little usable space. The door was replaced at one end of the room, allowing for a full-length kitchen

The friezes, staves, skirting boards, doors and shutters were made more striking through gray painting. This gray element made possible to create a connection between the coverings and the decoration of the apartment.

The high ceilings, the long corridors, the pine flooring are important elements, so the decoration took place in a clear neutral proposal and with several wooden elements that combine with the materials of the apartment.

In the living room we designed a large, illuminated white bookshelf that runs along the entire wall creating a feeling of spaciousness.

The materials and coverings, both in the kitchen and in the bathrooms, have a connection and harmony between them. We choose green as the main color. This combination stands out in the kitchen, through the furniture and in the children’s bathroom, through the hydraulic mosaic. In the main bathroom we opted for a white covering, imitating marble, which is brighter and to contrast we added black taps and elements.

Final result fully exceeded  expectations. The apartment has become more fluid, functional, statically very attractive and sophisticated
