A Home Reinvented Through the Textures of Wood

This interior design and renovation project in Carnaxide, Portugal, represents a true reinvention of space — where wood takes center stage. The goal was to completely transform the apartment without altering its original layout, creating a home that feels more harmonious, functional, and welcoming.

Wood — present in the flooring, bespoke furniture, and much of the décor — introduces texture, elegance, and a natural sense of comfort. Its consistent use builds a visual connection between rooms, creating a cohesive and balanced environment throughout the home.

One of the main challenges was to create a subtle transition between social and private areas. The solution came through the design of a custom storage unit with a wooden frame and frosted glass door, providing privacy without compromising natural light or spatial flow.

The final result is a modern, serene home that stays true to its original essence — a space designed for living, blending aesthetics, comfort, and functionality with timeless style.
